Creative Thinking

This piece of artwork is called “2018 Colours”. It was inspired by the change in furniture design and the new velvets in blush pink and dusty rose colours. The whole look reminds me of the 1960’s when teak was the look of the day. The legs on the furniture were somewhat splayed out rather the straight and angular. The coverings were plain but rich in texture. I also see a little Art Deco look with the curved sofas. So I think it will be necessary to compliment the new look with clean abstract designs that include the new colours. I would say this new palette includes, various blue greens as well as strong greens and blues. This work, like my others is giclee on canvas in a square shape. The sizes are 20″ x 20″, 24″ x 24″, 30″ x 30″, 36″ x 36″ and 48″ x 48″. For further information contact me at ginagodfrey@rogers.com
